Hey Girl Hey! !

So, hi! I’m Sam for those of you that do not know...Nanny Sam to be exact. This blog is literally years in the making. Thank you for wanting to take this journey with me.

I'm trying to remember a time in my life where I WASN'T caring for children...that's kind of hard, lol. I recall being about 7 or 8 years old warming up my baby cousins bottles on the stove. My family loves children...both sides. I found that out when I FINALLY found my father and his side of the family back in January of this year....after more than 20 years of searching. Yeah ...but that's another blog for another day.

This first blog is just a smidget about me ...and my passion for children, their development and the parents that raise them. I think people sometimes fail to realize that being a parent is hard. Waking up every day getting ready for work, dressing your children, washing clothes, drying clothes, loading and unloading dishwashers, cooking breakfast, lunch AND dinner, being mentally and emotionally available, talking to teachers, talking to neighbors, disciplining your children, making time for your spouse .....need I continue? That can start to take its toll. ENTER Nanny Sam aka Tee Tee.

This Is My Job Now

Everything I do for my kids is done from the heart. I love them as if I birthed them, and that's probably why I'm always so booked. (and that's on period!)

It's the fact that I have to force my clients to put themselves first. "GO OUT!" is something I scream almost weekly. "Go get your nails done!" I say at least monthly. "Go take a nap!" ....Chile the list goes on and on. They're severely dedicated ...or worn TF out!

Luckily for me they make my job very easy. I have the best babies. Extremely smart, imaginative, not dedicated to screens, they love being outside, they love my handmade snacks and most of all they love their Tee Tee!

I'm extremely dedicated, motivated, over protective and timely ...that's probably ANOTHER reason I'm always booked.

Fellow nannies reading this, we have the most important job EVER. We have been charged with the care of someone else's miracle. It's a job that I will never take lightly.

Getting Laid Off Changed My Life

I worked in corporate America for over 20 years. It's literally all I've ever done since I graduated high school. My passion was and has always been children but I ran from my calling for years ....until 2017. I was laid off from my job of 7 years, the same job I'd had since I moved to Atlanta from Greensboro, NC. I needed that push apparently....because not even 2 months later Nanny Sam was born. The rest is history.

That's only a piece of my story. I can't wait to tell you the rest. Sooo I hope you're ready to laugh, cry, read football highlights (Geaux Saints), look at kiddo videos and MUCH more. Because I'm more than just Nanny Sam or Tee Tee ....don't believe me just watch!!
